Bought some SMD diodes and the seller sent something different. Will these work?

It says not to use them in new designs due to them having lead. Wouldn't worry too much about it. But if it wasn't what you ordered, yes I would start a refund process.

I mean if they are equivalent to AZ1117H that would be fine by me. But if they are not.. yeah I got the ole bait and switch...

According to datasheet EH11A is a marking ID for
AZ1117H-ADJTRE1 that's the actual product,
an LDO voltage regulator.

Look at page 15 of datasheet, lot of markings for
different packages and output voltages.
AZ1117H-ADJTRE1 is the adjustable version of
SOT223 package.

I looked at the datasheets; should work--I'm assuming that you're using leaded solder anyway. That is, however if the suffixes are the same. Both come in a variety of fixed output voltages as well as adjustable versions. All descendants of the venerable LM117, but improved.

From one of those immortal 1970s NSC designs. (you can still get the LDO SOT223 version of the LM117 from TI).

Oh yes,,, only leaded solder.

You stated you purchase DIODES, but other people are saying these are VOLTAGE REGULATORS?

I looked up the datasheet. They are Low Drop Out Voltage Regulators manufactured by Diodes Incorporated.

Yes, this is the generic problem with teeny, weeny SMD parts... The part number is "AZ1117H-ADJTRE1" but this won't fit onto the tiny part and be readable without the Hubble Space Telescope - so they mark it as "EH11A".

It is a regulator! Excuse my hasty thread creation! My apologies.

I wish we had the ability to edit titles after creation just for this reason.

Don't worry - I have fallen foul of the same thing by not reading what I was typing and then hitting create to early...
