Hi:
I'm doing some research for the Computer History Museum and would very much like to know as much information about the Conner HDDs shipped in the Compaq Portable III. A list drives Compaq claims to have shipped is at:
http://oldcomputers.net/compaqiii.pdf
As a minimum I'd like to know the Conner Model Number which might be a CP340, CP341 or CP342 or some such number and if you have the corresponding Compaq part number that would also be great. A photo of the technical data plate and enuf of the printed wiring board to date the drive would be outstanding.
Inspection is pretty simple, see the PIII manual at
http://www.old-computers.com/museum/doc.asp?c=1065
7 screws to remove at most (I hope)
Any help would be appreciated
