I have a pair of Dell 19" 4:3 flat panels for use with my vintage computer collection. I was just rearranging the monitor arm and somehow put the Dell 1905FP into "burn in mode" by laying it down when powered on and it pressed some button combination. It now cycles through primary colors and will not respond to any button presses other than power - I am unable to access the menu. Googling will list some of the magic button combinations for more modern monitors, but not this 20yr old LCD. I've tried every empiric combination of buttons, power switch, and hard power that I can think of without success. Anyone remember how to get out of this mode?

Thanks, that is at least referring to buttons that my monitor has, but no luck.

Have you tried pulling the power cord out, while the monitor is on, and letting it sit for a while?

Ok I have one doing it and I just cleared it. You will need a signal source applied to see the menu. Power off, hold menu and plus then push power on. Release and push menu. The menu should show factory and version at the top of the menu box. Now go down to factory reset and select. The reset menu will have a factory choice. Go there and select then step down to burnin and turn off then exit.

Thanks Larry. Having an input helped get it out of that mode and back into functional status. It's now back to normal (with or without input connected)
