My name is Gert, and i'am desperate looking for more then 5 years for a computersystem.

Please, can anyone help me....??? :(

Here the details of the system:

System unit contains motherboard, keyboard, power supply and floppy drives.
512k RAM.
CPU: NEC V40 (80188-compatible).
One or two floppy drives.
XT-style keyboard (82 keys).
Integrated CGA-compatible video. Allegedly can output to TV or monitor.

Do you know where i can buy it, or maybe you know people who wants to sell this system to me.

Please contact me at : g.w.dewit@zonnet.nl

Greetzzz...

Hi, I have one of these systems:

It's in nice condition, but the keyboard has some kind of problem, maybe I'll look at it sometime.

I've changed the 720k floppy to a 1,44mb one, old one was broken.

A bit off-topic, but really have to blurt it out now:

wow, this forum is amazing... is there *anything* that no member has heard off or hasn't stashed away?

Even when, before asking a question here I think, hey, lets ask google first- since some time the first hits that come up are from this forum!

Well, in a nutshell: thanks Erik ;)

Sorry I can't contribute on the Olivetti, but:
Hello and welkom op dit forum Olivetti4life :)

The amusing thing about the PC1 is that it's still got some vestiges of the M24 / AT&T 6300 BIOS (eg: video mode 40h, 'normal' and 'deluxe' keyboard layouts), despite not having any of the M24's hardware. It doesn't have a PC-compatible DMA controller; the BIOS seems to work around this using the NMI handler. And the CGA character ROM has a second font, which looks as if it was designed for displaying Teletext -- I don't know how to activate this, or even if it's possible.

My page on the PC1 is here.

It's a shame, but I sold one of these on Ebay for £5.50 at the tail end of May. It was in fully working condition, and I wish I hadn't let it go for such a low price.

:(

Paul.
