[Flicker Warning]
This monitor was working perfectly fine Monday. (Was playing half life in the dining room but couldn’t put it on my desk yet.) It has spent the last 2 days in the garage. The hottest it got was 75F and the lowest 50F. It was storming last night but the monitor was unplugged. I clear my desk and plug it in to this. Blank white screen with nothing going into it. It also wont go into standby. I plug in my computer. No difference. No response from the front controls. No response from the contrast pot. Brightness pot works. This is my second crt monitor to fail in a month. How can I fix it? Since its got bad flicker im assuming its showing lik 50 or 60hz on screen (ntsc monitor so poblably 60). There are no service manuals online that I have found. I looked at the board and didnt see any blown caps or burnt components. Ill problably have to look at where the signal is coming in but I dont have an ocillioscope. Anybody got any ideas or tips before I dive in with a multimeter? Im somewhat new to CRT repair.
