Hi all!
I just picked up an Execuport 400 printing terminal (circa about 1981), and I've been cleaning it up and poking around inside before plugging it in. It's a neat beast - essentially a Z80 computer with 16KB of ROM, printer, UART, and modem. It was a competitor to the TI Silent 700 series of portable, take-home printing terminals of the '70s and early '80s.
When I bought it, I thought it was a thermal printer. Alas, no, it's a dot matrix, with a ribbon. Here's the ribbon in question:
I should be able to re-ink this one if I need to, but is it familiar to anyone? Is there a third party ribbon that matches this one? Or is this in the "Good Luck With That!" category?
