Is this the right forum?

Apple 2e was the bomb. My introduction to computer programming. I scored a 96% on a quarterly English test, which I guess was a big deal. I was too young to know that, and frankly, the score was a fluke. I was a mid-80s student at best. Anyway, I was excused from class for the next few weeks (no advanced placement classes at the time) to have a "free period" at the junior high school library where there was ... an apple 2e. Back then Beagle Brothers was comedy, Zork was sold in a thin cardboard package that I held as though it was a gold brick, and six colors and Appleworks were king. And how did they make those "voices" of the guards in Wolfenstein?!?!

Anyway, I got this image in my head of a 3d space flying game that I cannot find on the internet. And I'd really love to answer the question of what is the title. I thought it was EPOCH. What forum is right to pose this question?

It does seem likely to me that you're remembering a game called Epoch.

If not, is it possible that you're thinking of Elite?

This is the right forum on the vcfed.org website to ask about Apple II games. VCFed is dedicated to all sorts of old computers, however, and you can also find forums online that are devoted just to the Apple II. The applefritter forum is one of them.

I remember Star Wars for the Apple ][ by Softape/Bishop. It was kind of 3d in that the ships you were shooting at got bigger when you got closer. Seems feeble now, but I spent many hours on this and A2FS1 (Sublogic/Artwick) back in the day. There was also a Super Star Wars that I did not have but was a bit more 3d than the original.
