I've got several ATA-100 and ATA-133 drives I plan to use to multi-boot my 486, and with them all being WD drives, I got to fool around with Data Lifeguard tools, here's some thing's Ive learned....

The CD that came with one of my drives has the following on it

x:\ddc - this is the directory where the disk image creation utility (ddc) is and the image files to make a bootable floppy, kind of sucks as on my system it can't use the floppy drive for some reason, might need to learn more command line switches for this one.

x:\dos\install - where all the files for Data Lifeguard exist on the CD-ROM

Commands

x:\dos\install\DM /ve:32 - starts up one of the programs, I presume the ve:/ is for the video mode

x:\dos\install\dl /ve:32 - starts data lifeguard utilities

Had some problems with hanging initially. Double checked, got the alt-jumpers wrong.

More notes later......
