GE / FANUC WorkMaster Interface page is VERY incomplete, I don't have any WorkMaster Interface cards, nor do I use LogicMaster to control Series Ninety PLCs. I do have pics of the WS6AI IC647WMI620 parallel interface only [images from Mike Lycett]. WMI cards are also called the Work Station Interface [WSI].
WARNING! The WSI's serial and/or parallel ports are NOT your grandaddy's COM / LPT ports. These deal with communicating to PLCs [probably with RS422 or RS485, single or multidrop]. There were two versions of LogicMaster, one using the 7186's [P70's] Serial COM port, and the WSI that uses the serial and parallel ports on the Work Station Interface [WSI] card. You could even instal BOTH versions together [Serial COM port -and- WSI].
GE / Fanuc were quite proud of their brainchild, so they were tight-fisted with the info. Makes IBM look open-source... Best I can determine, you used LM90 to choose your interface [COM or WSI]. I can't find @5047.ADF for love or money.
I do know of MCA cards without ADFs, and they sit on industry standard I/O addresses and possumbly INTs as well. IBM did not recommend running POS setup on a card after POST. So -maybe- GE / Fanuc made a stealth card that did not wake-up during the POS setup. The LM90 software enables and configures the WSI as needed.
But this seems very wrong, if not heretical, to me...
