To make room in the garage. I leave for Europe on Monday.
Oh, and Daddy needs some travel money, and EuroBeer money.

1) TI 99/4a, black/silver one, in box, withmanuals, and an expansion box with 1 5.25" drive, 32K ram expansion, CorComp Serial, TI FDC, and the PEB connector, with the firehose cable and cartridge. Got a second one, beige, also in the box, all manuals, I think even the warranty registration is there!
Both tested, and work, and the PEB as well. Well, it powers up, and the interconnect cartridge lights up when plugged into a 99

2) Laser 128, nice condition, with powersupply, video cable, and original manual. looks REALLY nice, too! Tested, and works. $75 shipped

3) Color Computer 3 with the 512K Tandy upgrade. Tested, and works. I MIGHT have a book or 2 $100+shipping

4) 2 x Cambridge Z88's, one works, one has a problem with the LCD contrast knob and it's also missing the screws. Unfortunately neither has batter door. includes (2) 128K RAM cartridges, a PCLink cartridge, and a 32KB EPROM cartridge. THe scond one works fine, and recognizes all the add-ons, including adding 256KB of RAM to it! $100+shipped for the hole shebang!!

5) Commodore PC-10, with original keyboard. Cover is a little dinged, and it's dirty, but get the ding out, and I think it'll present nicely. Haven;t got the right monitor to test it with, but it does power up. $50 + shipping

6) Commodore 128D, with keyboard. Works, boot CP/M, boots into C64 mode, etc... Looks pretty good. $100 + shipping (last one I sold on eBay, sold in 15 minutes, buy-it-now for $100. these normally gather $125-150)

shipped is obviously in the lower 48 only, and ground/fedex ground/Parcel post, whatever is cheapest. All transactions must be completed by Friday night, so I can get them out Saturday. If I can;t complete the transaction, I will refund and hold the item for you until I return, or I won't enter into the transaction if it's obvious early.

I've sold, and bought, from a few people on here, and they know I don't screw around.

I might add a couple more items when I get home from work tonight.

Yep, I told Tony about that already.

I'm getting the Z88 stuff (I think, haven't heard back yet).

Chuck spoke for the Z88's...
Barythrin spoke for the PC-10 and the C128D...
He also aksed about the TI, about the time I posted it, so I'll give him first jab.

Bill, TI, don't know, don't know much about 'em. TI's have NEVER caught my eye, not when they were new, and not now ;)
Barythrins got first jab, though... After that, you know how it is - Make a reasonable offer, and it's yours.

The TI console look great, the PEB - Eh - could use a little cleaning. it's a bit musky on the top - I assume previous owner(s) had a monitor on top of it.

Anyway, throw an offer out - I have NO idea. Seriously. I priced the other stuff, because I sorta' know. TI - I have no clue on. I will rely on you guys.

T

The sliver and black TI is worth around $20, while the newer single color model is worth about $35. The PEB, with all that stuff is worth around $100 - $125. It's too bad you never got into the 4A, as they actually are pretty fascinating systems all things considered.

Bill: as I said, make an offer - you know I'll give you extra leeway ;)

JDT - I have ONE more, but I have no keyboard for it.
I can give it to you for, say, $50+shipping, but I want to test it first, with the KB from the other one.

The plastic front is a little yellowed, though.

lemme know if it piques your interest, and I'll get it tested before the other is packed up.

T

Oh, thanks. Yeah, I hadn't heard anything either so I wasn't sure you got my request. Yeah, I'm good with the PC-10 and 128D. The TI I don't need so Bill or someone else are welcome to it.

Interesting post btw, I've never seen the "newer" single color model unit.

I'd be pretty darn new to the C line of machines, how hard would it be to find a keyboard for the unit? did a quick fleabay check.. didnt see one

From my experiences for watching "vintage" on ebay "like a hawk", I would say that they are pretty hard to come by. The $50 price is good, I paid $66 for a "no keyboard" one not too long ago. I had one at home with the keyboard and video was bad, so I just grabbed the keyboard from that system. I might have seen one keyboard only listed in the last 90 days.

I think he refers to the Beige 99/4a's

like here ( from Obsolete Technology Website):

Yeah, I was referring to the beige TI-99/4a. They were cost-reduced models that also had a lock-out system in place to block usage of third party cartridges. TI was never a big fan of any type of outside development - it pretty much wanted to publish everything for its system itself (that's one of the things that ultimately hurt the 4a, that and cut-throat price competition from Commodore and first their Vic-20 and eventually the C-64, which killed off pretty much the whole low end market). Of course third parties quickly found a way around the lockout, but there are a small number of cartridges that don't work on the newer model. Control Data, who used the 4a as their micro PLATO flagship system shortly before TI pulled the plug, would later buy a lot of the remaining beige 4a stock and rebrand it with a Control Data nameplate and change the system's title screen. Otherwise it was exactly the same. Of the three models (black/silver 4a, beige 4a and Control Data beige 4a), the Control Data model is worth the most, about a $20 additional premium.

OK - couple more.

JDT - I have ONE more C128D WITH keyboard.
Sold it on eBay about 2 weeks ago, no, check that, over THREE weeks ago guy took 1 week+ to pay, and then it was unconfirmed address, and haven't heard from since.

SOOOO....there ya go. $100+shipping.
Here's the completed auction to see the pics:

Also got a Commodore CBM 8032, nice condition, with original user's guide.
Same guy as the C128D above...the freaking flake. THis is kind of large, so unfortunately, it will have to be through the PakMail,as I do not have boxes anywhere NEAR that large, nor that much packing material. I do get 15% off at the PakMail though.

You can look at the completed auction on eBay for the pics:

On the 2 above, I'm going on the assumption he's not going to go through with it. Obviously, if he somehow miraculously comes through, then I might have to go with him. I did file an unpaid item (9/18 - waited a while, but I try to be nice that way, ya know?)

Offer on the table for the TI PEB (Expansion Box) is $125+shipping.

Bill: How about $30 +shipping for the beige one?

Chuck: Just printed out your label, ScamPal, erm, I mean PayPal shoulda' emailed you the tracking number. It will go out today, Priority Mail (cost $18.10, $100 insurance)

Yep, my *free* 8032 I got on here cost me about $92 to get it here. It did arrive in great shape. He used one of those professional mailing places too. The 8032 is built like a tank, I don't think you will get the flying CRT trick that we all love so well. I still have to trash what's left of the H89.

It ain't the flyin'...it's the landing!

Anyone got an HP ThinkJet printer?
I have an original manual, and about 3 heads/cartridges, whatever they are, and they are new in the box.

Got no ThinkJet, got no use for a ThinkJet. Say $25 shipped lower 48 for the batch?

T

JDT - gonna have to recall that offer. Only one of the two 128D's works, and unless the person above you recants, it's his.

Going back to my previous posts, I try not to sell junk. If I know how to, or can, test it, I will.
