I would like for somwone who can do. To download From Tandy 1000 system disks web site . The 3 disks I need .Dos 3.3 and Basic. Desk mate disk 1. And Deakmate disk 2. For Tandy 1000 TL I could supply the disks. And would pay for the Job and shipping. It might take and older computer. They are 720k programs and need to be put on 720k disks(3.5). My modern computer would'nt do. It said that the 72o programs would not fit on 720 disks. Then shut down because of unmountable boot volume . Naybee the programs where booting with windows xp. They need to be unzipped after downloaded. I would really appreciate the system disks wich I need and don't have. Thank you

I just realized your mistake.. I think you were trying to copy the disk images to the floppy.. Read the directions that come in the ZIP, they are "images", you need a program to write these to the disks.. There's no reason your computer can't handle DD disks, all floppy drives can do this...

Get WinImage, load the image, and write them to disk.. After I just realized this, im pulling my floppy deal, as to NOT rip you off... This is something you can easily do, as long as you got DD disk.. (if not, do the "tape" trick I do)...

Tape trick works temporarily, though.
It;s not good for long-term, as DD and HD are different media.
When I was told, I didn;t really believe it.
But...

I remember when I had my last Amiga a couple years back, all
the 1.4's I had taped to 720's pretty much gave up the bit-ghost.

I bit the bullet, and ended up ordering a bazillion OEM DSDD 3.5"
floppies, of which I still have probably 350 or so... I gave away
a box of 500 to a friend last year, and kept the partial box I had.

Just a warning, because it probably will happen, though not immediately

ok, i'll keep that in mind..

the OP said he had 720's though, so hopefully he'll be able to figure this out...

when I was doing the imaging process, it dawned on me that he might have just been trying to copy the image file itself onto the floppy, and not actually write the image to floppy.. no way was i going to charge him to make 3 floppies if he still has a chance to do this himself.. (i don't rip people off like that, as I've been ripped off before and know the feeling)

Very honorable, and yes, he may have been copying the whole thing over.
We'll have to wait and see the response.

I live images - if it weren;t for WinImage, I dunno where I'd keep all my old junk!!
