New member. Just posted my intro. I have an iBook that the Apple Genius' say the hard drive is shot in. I primarily use the iBook for travel and checking e-mail around the house since it's small and light. Looking for some feedback from other mac users.
1. Is it worth the time and effort to replace the hard drive? There are a lot of guides on the web on how to do this I'm just not sure if it's cost effective.
2. Will I be able to install newer versions of Apple OS on the drive?
