Identifying IBM SLT Boards

What does everyone do to identify IBM MST & SLT boards?
Currently I take a guess on what the board is, then go look in the maintenance manual to see if I can find a matching part number. I'm finding that although the manuals have most the parts listed, many of them leave out the parts number for the cards.

If there a web site or a list available?

Also for example, here is a part number of a SLT board.

1590614A63467018

Are the first 7 digits the part number and the remainder a serial number or EC level?

Try searching at archive.org. I remember having seen some lists there, but as far as I remember (and my memory has lots of faulty ICs so I could be wrong) they varied in format between computer families... unfortunately the maintenance manuals are still your best option... IBM loved to obscure parts. I still have not seen, for example a capacitor cross-reference or equivalence table to replace them, the 7400/MCS-80/MCS-85/MCS86 complete list of components or the Datamaster schematics. Unfortunately it won't be easy if you don't know the system it belongs to and if the reference manuals are not complete. Maybe looking at the SLTs per se *may* help, but...

Sorry if that is not the answer you were looking for. I hope more experienced people around this place could help you more - I don't have much experience with minis or mainframes but the few times I had to find details from something from IBM other than a PC I have had to sweat for it.

Thanks RetroAND. Sounds like searching through the manuals is the best way for now.
I did find a list of SMS cards online. I'm hoping someone might also do the same for MST / SLT cards at some stage.
