I recently bought this board, it can be used in a 286 or 8088/86 type of computer,
unfortunetly, I need to have a pc selection chip installed to make it work on a
non 286 computer, anyone know if this is a common chip or a special chip
made for this type board, thanks :)

According to the docs:

PC Selection Chip
The PC Selection chip is located just above the bus connectors, center between the 8-bit and the 16-bit connectors. Be sure the socket is empty for a 286 or above system. It is only used for a PC/XT type system.

my above board is green, and has 8mb of ram on it, i think it's the above board at, cuz it's got the mounts for serial and parallel ports, i've got the same board aswell, WITH the ports. But i would try the jumper shunt block if you have one.
