Holy crap. Eww.. I know that seller's name. They must be resuming the sale of Sellam's stuff. This is a pretty rare system although I think this is just the interface not the actual huge refrigerator size system it connects to.

I remember at the last VCF (VCF X San Jose) a team of original programmers were fixing up a LINC for donation to the Digibarn. They have some pictures of it along with the server side unit that I remember seeing. It was a blast watching them work on it. Huge book (size of a table) with maps of the circuitry that they were reading and referencing while the system was running some custom diagnostics off of tape that were written by probably the gent in the photos. The system was whizzing away going forward and backwards on the tape and making several different pitch beeps (sounded like a sci-fi movie). Was really cool. I asked him about the sounds it was making and they were actually based on the diagnostic so he could hear the output vs having to read the display all the time. Apparently the display is sort of hard to read so they'd put a few punch cards or index cards around it making their own light blocking screen.

Yep. That's definitely one of Sellam's systems. They got it priced good too. $19K is a bargain.

I saw that machine last summer at the Digibarn. It was covered in plastic because the roof was being worked on but you could see the signatures on the side of the machine. I believe he has it setup again.

It's a beautiful piece of history. Also have a few other items we will be listing soon. Still about 80 pallets of hardware. Have quite a bit of software and manuals if anyone is interested. We are setting up viewing appointments if anyone is interested please inbox us and we can set up a time to walk our warehouse.

So Sellam never got any of his stuff back?

He is still fighting them in the courts by the looks of it. He'll probably never get anything back. I haven't looked at TVRSales listings in awhile now, but, whoever is pricing things there now has lost their mind. Random newish used PC parts they want way more than they go for new at Newegg.
