I forget if I actually posted this before.

Link Maven has been incredibly helpful in backing up files and other stuff. I have a parallel port link cable hooked up to my Dell 4600 which goes to the parallel printer port of a Packard Bell 610 486 running Windows 3.11 and DOS 6.22. I just boot the Packard Bell in DOS mode, type C:\dremote and the included software sets up the PB to be a remote computer. Then I open Link Maven on the 4600 which is a Windows program. The 4600 is thus the "local" computer and files can be swapped between computers with little or no problems.

This is great since I neglected to have the 4600 be given a floppy drive when I bought it from Dell. I just got a 5.25 drive for the PB so it's got 3.5/ 5.25/ and hard drive. (Packard Bell for some reason didn't include a CD-ROM with the computer but released it with an empty 5.25 port for optional disk drive or CD-ROM.) I bought the PB for $75 (including S/H) and the 5.25 came seperate from the same seller for $50 (including S/H). I was happy to get it for that much because some seller online was specializing in selling "NEW" 5.25s for $80-$100.
