I just picked up what I am pretty sure is a Mac XL since it has a hard drive and the rom on the motherboard and drive controller says Sun Remarketing.

I didn't get a keyboard or mouse with it. When I power it up I can hear the drive spin up and the screen comes on but, never displays anything. Can these be booted without a keyboard and mouse attached ? Screen is on though. I can turn up the brightness and see it clearly.

Anyone have a spare keyboard and mouse ? How do you turn it off ? Pressing the power switch doesn't seem to do anything after it turns it on. I have to pull the plug.

edit: OK reseated everything and now it comes up. Can't get passed the boot from question obviously but, at least the screen looks good. Power button even works now. One of the boards must have been loose. Still if anyone has a keyboard and mouse around let me know. I can ever trade a dual parallel card for it since this thing has two.

Hi, ask John from Vintagemicros - he has partly working Lisa Keyboards (you can fix them yourself) for around $80... www.vintagemicros.com - or see ebay for his shop.
