Log-in problem ?

My IMAC works great and the Toshiba Laptop is fine,but the Dell running Win 98 and Internet Explorer ?????. If I log-in it shows me in user on-line but I have to log in a second time to do anything.

Hmm, That happens to me sometimes. I just set it to log me in auotmatically log me in. It has never happened since...

I'm also running Win98SE and IE6, and I have similar problems. I think it has something to do with the cookies sent by the server, and perhaps there is a domain resolving issue. By always logging in via "check private messages", it seems to work for me. It means I have to click once to get to the forum main page, but rather that than faulty cookies and all the unread messages marked as read and lost.

I'm using the exact same computer setup on other phpBB forums, without any problems elsewhere, only on this one!

Like, I was unable to log in at all! It totally didnt work! Then I emailed Erik and told him what was happening, and he emailed me back and was like, dude, your logged in, and Im like, no way man, so I go to the website, and like, Im logged in, so Im like this is totally wierd man! I didnt even log in that time, but here I am, loggin'

A good tip for when this stuff starts happening is to delete your cookies and/or cache. Sometimes those screw things up - especially while I'm doing server moves!
