I have a Hubot robot (http://www.robotsandcomputers.com/robots/personal.php?filename=hubot.htm) that I would like to try to learn to program. I'd alos like to be able to make a copy of the demo disk that I have for him.

From what I understand, the original operating system is CP/M 2.2. Does anyone happy to have a copy of this floppy disk that they would be willing to share?

Thanks...

*** EDIT ***
I guess I need to know how to do a disk copy under CP/M as well...

I think I've got one--there's a guy in South America who's a really big fan of these odd beasts. I'll have a look this weekend. I think ImageDisk will work just fine with it.

Here's a Hubot boot disk--DSDD 48 tpi ("360K") drive. Use Dave Dunfield's Imagedisk to extract the image to disk. I'll keep the image up until Monday.

Awesome! Thank you... Now is this the demo disk that shipped with Hubot, or another disk?

I'll have to pull out my "vintage work system" and try this out.

Is that your Hubot? I was beginning to think I was the only one with one of these guys? I don't suppose you know anything about programming him, do you? I have tried talking to several of the original hardware designers, but so far no one knows anything about programming nor can they put me in touch with the original software designers...

No, I don't have one--the disk comes from a fellow in Argentina who collects them.

The disk looks pretty comprehensive--it's got a bunch of .TSK files in addition to the usual stuff, including WordStar. It's definitely bootable.

PM me and I can pass along our Argentinian's email address. I'm sure he'd love to hear from another Hubot owner.

I'm sure you've already downloaded the owner's manual.

ROTFLMAO! I'm laughing because that's MY web site you pointed me to for the owner's manual! :D

I'll PM right you now... Thanks...

Hello rebeltaz, even though I do not have a hubot, I downloaded the manual and noticed that sections 3 and 5 are empty, is the file damaged?

Sadly no... That is the way the manual was when I got it with the robot. I scanned it just the way it was. I am thinking (hoping) that maybe this was a pre-release edition? Eventually I am hoping to locate a completed edition... There isn't too much to go on with this one.

Thanks for the reply and the interesting site.:)
