Looking for Pedion LCD ribbon cable

There's a ribbon cable that is in the LCD screen assembly of the Mitsubishi pedion which unfortunately for me has kinked and broken at the connector, leaving me with a screen covered in white and lines. I need to find another ribbon cable which will probably be found in one of the many pedions out there with a broken LCD panel or other problem.

This cable is a regular LCD flat? Do you still have the broken one?

If it's anything like a drive ribbon it should be easy to repair.

It's of the orange laminated film variety stuff. Almost impossible to solder and allows for very dense ribbon cables.

EXAMPLE (the giant orange cable int he middle, not the letter stuff):

Where the cable is soldered to the physical connector there is a transparent plastic sheet (F) that makes the backside rigid and prevents the joints for the connector from going cold. If you however kink it here it shears the cable. It isn't an easy fix.

This is still something I'm after.
The battery in this laptop is long dead and removed but the laptop itself is quite rare. Even as a display piece powered from the wall it's worth trying to still ask if someone has a parts unit I can steal the cable from.
