NEC V20 "-8" CPU clocked at 10MHz

I was a big fan of the V60-V80 CPUs, which, curiously, also contain 8080 emulation mode. My take is that they were aimed at I-TRON, which never really caught on outside of Japan. Shame that. :(

Seems like it was a pretty popular choice for arcade cabinets in the 1990's. I wonder if they ever used that 8080 emulation capability in that role.

Great news! The V20 CPU has arrived and is working perfectly. So far it has been a HUGE improvement.
The tests so far:
- Pinball Fantasies runs great, very fluid (without sound). It hangs, as expected, with PC speaker MOD music;
- Flashback runs great with PC speaker digital audio effects;
- Another World now runs with PC speaker digital audio (a little slow when playing sounds). It hangs the machine with audio turned on and 8088 CPU.
- Alpha Waves now runs.
- MS Flight Simulator won´t detect CPU as 80286, but I could select the 286 option. Don´t know if it made a difference.
- Charlie the Duck refuses to run. Detects CPU as "80086" (with two zeros).
- Alone in the dark hangs with a black screen. I will try to disable PC speaker digital effects.
- Performance-wise I feel that it is a little faster.
- Prince of Persia has perceptible less stuttering.
- Xenon2 now runs with no lag at all when multiple sprites are on the screen.
- Indianapolis 500 still defaults to LOW detail but runs at full FPS. Runs OK with medium detail.
- Blood Money now has almost imperceptible slowdown with multiple sprites on screen. Runs very fine.
