What type of atari is it. 8bit or ST. If it's an ST there are many editing programs you can use to read virtually all disks. Likely also possible on 8-bit machines too. Check the archives of comp.sys.atari.8bit on Google.

atari 800 the're single sided disk which i understand are unreadable by pcs also i can't get my printer interface to work long enough to print them

no its a liitte over my price range
but im hoping to get one (some one just got there first job lol) all i have is an 800 and a 810 that only reads disk (dos nt write for some reason)

With the risk of being ignorant to your computer skills, have you ensured the 5.25" floppy disks are not write protected, i.e. have a small notched hole in the upper right corner, not covered by tape?

ive checked
machine says general error when formatting

and reading them is questionale too it no longer reads my print shop disk sometimes

already have
i may have forgot too mention the drive started as two now working drives and has been pieced together i know some of the chips are bad ass its spent much of the 90s in a barn
