Opinion on BTC ES1688F/ES968F Audiodrive

I have this card lying around, here's a picture of it (from another owner on vogons)

I usually run the DOS stuff with AWE64 Value. I understand it has different synthesis than earlier SBs and compatibles. I would replace it with this, and hook a physical Soundcanvas on the MIDI port.
So is this one a good candidate for FM compatibility, sound quality and support?

Also can't find any documentation on it. Are those pins for jumpers?

By FCCID it's actually listed as one of the cards on the site under ES1688F section, what was confusing me was two ESS chips, but the lesser one is UART/CDROM stuff.
