Osborne Executive BackPac - Any info?

Here's what I'm hoping will be a fun one! My Osborne Executive came with a keyboard that felt ... unusually heavy. I cracked it open and found this bad boy inside - the BackPac, from the Drive C Corporation. This is an external battery pack for the Drive C RAM drive, and I don't know whether it is specific to the Executive version of Drive C or if it's backwards compatible. Anyway, I know this thing was a "real" product at one point and is even mentioned in the Drive C manual. However, I can find exactly zero information on how to charge the batteries, how to interface it with the RAM drive (apart from plugging in the edge connector), or what the heck this 3.5mm plug is meant to be used for.

Anyone have any idea about where I might be able to find more information on the BackPac? Internet searches aren't turning up much, but maybe I just don't know what to search for. Any help is appreciated, and I thank you ahead of time!

The pinouts of the shunt connector are well known. If you show where the wires go, a good guess could be made that it tracks the video and the sync and ground.
