PCjr (not Tandy) apps or games?

Nice. you should submit your box cover scans to mobygames so the title can be cleared up a bit.
So you have the same game as mobygames says, but it looked like it said 1991 on your box scan, and moby has it listed as 1993.
Either way, it's not the same game at all. The PCjr version came out in 1983 or 1984 and looks and plays wholly different than the softDisk release.

It says 1991 on the box, but 1993 on the disk and in other spots on the box. While quite different, is it still the same gameplay concepts and such? Or is the PCjr version a totally different game?

I have the Scuba Venture game from Softdisk, says 1993 on the start screen, but it will not run on my XT. It claims to need
a 286/386/486 system. The game works fine on my 486.

yeah, it's a totally different game.
I would even suspect that since the PCjr title was pretty obscure, that the 199x game was merely a coincidence in title and was not influenced by the one a decade earlier.

I have not played the softdisk one, but have briefly played the PCjr version. IIRC, the PCjr version is a vertical scroller where you just fall and bump into things on the way down to get points, while trying to avoid sharks and hitting the walls of the cavern. (the PCjr one not being that much fun, which is probably why i don't remember too much about the gameplay!) The screenshots of the 199x game make it look like a horizontal scroller/platformer.

Anyone able to get the Softdisk Scuba Venture game running on an IBM PC or XT ? The game supports EGA so I was
hoping to get this running on my XT (with EGA) but it just hangs after selecting B)egin from the opening menu.
