PET 4016 troubleshooting

I just bought a PET 4016 for $5.00, it came with a 2031 disk drive and 2 cassette tape drives. The unit powers up and displays the basic 4.0 and ready prompt. The only keys that work are the period, equals, and the run/stop. I've removed the keyboard and cleaned it, no improvement. I've scoped out the 6520 outputs to the bcd to decimal chaip and it is scanning. When a key is pressed I can see the wave form on the outputs of the decoder. I'm leaning tword replacing the 6520. Anyone have similar keyboard issues and resolve them?

Just ordered the rubber keyboard repair kit noted in another PET repair thread. I might try that first.

I have a few NOS keyboards for sale on my web site. They're retail price, but they're guaranteed to work.

BD, what does NOS mean?

I have a few "NOS" (New Old Stock) keyboards, still in the original plastic and cardboard supports from the shipping case. Never used. I bought them from an old Commodore dealer. I have used two myself to restore a 4016 and a 2001-N16, but I still have two or three left.
