So for those of you who did not hear the story of Crusty the Compact Mac, back in 2021 a team of the VCF Comedy Crew decided to resurrect a battery bombed SE to the point it worked again, then it was buried for six months, repaired, then thrown in a swamp for another 8 months, then *mostly* brought back and then carried around to the various VCF events ever since, much to the amusement of the comments about the process. The whole story can be found here. -> https://geocities.ws/rehasoft/crusty.html
So with the limits of how far you can take a mac for a swim before it begins to destroy itself I hunted out another specimen to do some unethical tests of my own. Ultimately I came into ownership of a Mac Classic and a pile of LC's and LC II's that had spent years festering in a musty and damp basement. Gave it a recap, a drive clean and both swapped the logic board with a less cap damaged one and recapped it and off it went with a smack of the hard drive. It's actually not too bad,
The drive formatted fine and took a clean install of System 7 and here we are now. What do we do with a mac that is more or less the same as an SE FDHD but without a PDS slot and generally considered one of the most worthless compact macs to exist?

Out where I live we get the FULL range of weather. -30 winters, +40 summers, rainy days and weeks without clouds. Snow, wind and even hail, we see it all and in a climate where even vinyl signage browns and sunburns in short order it's incredibly hostile for consumer electronics and plastic. So lets torture this mac.
It has been strapped to the roof of the house where it will remain for at least the next two years. The only protection it receives is a laminated piece of cardboard shoved into the front slot for the floppy drive to keep the direct weather at least from getting in. Otherwise, burn baby, burn.
