Hello. I am new to the site and am not exactly sure how the forums work. I actually have some vintage computer items (TI and many others including Wang, Commadore, Apple,etc) that I myself am not interested in restoring or keeping but don't have the heart to just dispose of. Can anyone suggest a place that may be interested in these older items? Thanks.

Argh, I would say my house and I would come and get them, but I can't You're not that far, being in Alb, El Paso is right down the road.

There is a museum in the works in Las Cruces, he may come and get them or you can maybe go to him, called Edgar Electronics.

Don't let the website fool you, though, he has a WONDERLAND of vintage equipment and he will pass along what he doesn't want or need for the museum.

You found your way here which is a great start There is also a free (to post items) auction page on this site at http://www.vintage-computer.com/vcforum/forumdisplay.php?64-The-Vintage-Computer-and-Gaming-Marketplace which you could post the items you'd like to sell in an auction style. Or you can just post what you have here in the forums and let us know what you're looking for. On the great side there are lots of us collectors here so local, or even shipment wise you can usually rest assured they'll end up at a loving home.

Interesting, I had no idea about him. Next time I'm down that way I might have to stop by and see what's going on there.

I actually have a friend (who is on this forum) that works at MDC Computers in Las Cruses sometimes.

If you do get to go there, prepare to be dazzled. Even though the lighting is bad and the place is a bit dusty, the veritable mountian of vintage equipment is amazing.

I'm glad people are closer than I thought they were, I thought I was the only one in this neck of the woods! See, LC is right down the road from here, the closest city.

Thanks for the museum info. I am not as educated on vintage machines as those on this site but I am becoming more and more interested as I see more of them come through my office. I will stop by there next time I am in the area. The natural history museum here in Albuquerque has a neat computer exhibit set up as well.
