Hello All,
I'm running RT-11XM V5.07 on a PDP-11/53 with 3.5MB of RAM.
I have some files on a PC that I would like to get on to a PDP-11 disk... The only way I can think of doing it is using KERMIT. I found KERMIT.SAV on an RX33 floppy, but when I try to invoke it I get the following error: "VHANDL-F-window error". The RT-11 system message manual suggests that the program was linked with too many windows, and that the solution is to re-link it with fewer windows. Unfortunately, I do not have the KERMIT source, so re-linking would not seem to be an option.
Can anyone offer some insight into why this does not work? Or, does anyone have a floppy image containing a version of KERMIT that would work. Or, is there some alternative method for getting a file from a PC to a PDP-11 that I haven't come across yet? Is there a way to build an RX33 floppy image on a PC that lets you specify the disk contents?
I know, so many questions... thanks in advance.
Cheers, Jon.
