Hi,

I am looking for some Vector Graphic materials such as disks and documentation. I just would like to borrow them temporarily to make copies and images for the Vector Graphic archive currently in development. You can keep your disks and/or documentation and will receive any resulting copies/images as they are made available.

I will make the images and copies or will help you set up your system to do it yourself. The key is to make the copies and images BEFORE these items deteriorate beyond recovery. It is just a matter of time before these original disks and documents fade away forever and if copies/images are not made they will be gone for good. I can assure you after making many disk images and copies of documents that these artifacts *are* fading away quickly as error free disk images of some disks are difficult to make and in a few cases, too difficult or even impossible to recover with current techniques.

The Vector Graphic restoration project is well underway. My machine is up and working and some other people have machines either working or in repair.

There is a Vector Graphic simulator in active development and I wrote a Catweasel program for making images of Vector Graphic disks (CP/M and MDOS so far). The resulting disk images can be converted for use in the simulator. In addition, there is an disk imaging tool which can make disk images of Vector Graphic CP/M disks called CPT available.

So if you are a Vector Graphic owner or just have a stack of old VG related stuff you'd like to see backed up or contributed to a good cause, please contact me for arrangements. I will pay for shipping as necessary.

Thanks!

Andrew Lynch
