These are the 1mbit density DIPs that are commonly found in old Amigas and 80286 computers. Does anyone know of a good place to scavenge these? I've got the 16-pin 41256 chips coming out of my ears, but for some reason I've never been able to find the 411000s. It seems lots of systems from the late 80s have sockets for 411000s, but they are rarely filled.

Have you considered rigging up an adapter/daughter board to adapt a different chip to the spot? Something with the same specs, but a different pinout?

I was thinking something along the lines of ic socket, with plastic shims to raise the ic enough to run wires between the correct pins...actually etching a board would be an act of desperation.
