Pretty cool. Not sure how complete the systems are though and the seller indicates they have cards coming up. How did you get 8 out of the auciton or am I reading poorly? Seller also has some other vintage gear posted too which is interesting.

Oh man. That brings back memories...

In the early '90s I lived in Connecticut, and used to hit up the Connecticut State Surplus store whenever I got a chance. It's where a lot of the state government surplus ended up. Anyway, on one of my visits in 1994, there were literally hundreds of DEC Rainbow 100s. Floor to ceiling shelves, many rows of them, they were all like $15 or $20, I don't remember exactly. I snagged one right away. Of course, at the time they were neither particularly rare nor particularly valuable, and I didn't have much interest in CP/M machines, so one was all I ever got.

Sadly, I left it with family in Connecticut when I moved to California in 1995, and I think it ended up being scrapped in the confusion afterward. Grrr.
