Since I have my Compaq Portable III in easy working order again, I want to try using XT-IDE as a pair of option EPROMS (note the missing "E") in the extra chip sockets provided on its motherboard. (That is, if it has the capability to do so.)
The only problem is, I can't configure anything for the "AT"/"ATL".bin files in DOSBox. (My plan afterwards is to split the bytes into high and low parts, then burn to respective EPROMS) It only gives me "Flash to EEPROM" and "Save BIOS back to original file" options. Is there something wrong, or does it configure automatically when starting up in an AT/386/486 system?
