Inboard 386/PC 2mb expansion CLONE

.. I did a bit of touch-up in Photoshop to remove the stains. I think my sample of magenta came out a bit too dark. I like the shade you used much better. Here's my touch-up version if you want it!

Awesome, mine is more bright but yours is closer to the original. are you selling those, let me know I might pick a couple. thanks
Note: I did get all the parts for the 4MB expansion but was traveling so never got a chance to build it yet.

Hey @harrison.frazier, hope I'm not being dumb here and haven't missed a link, but if I was looking to put together a board for myself for my lonely ramless inboard/386, how would I place an order for a board / components? Is that a thing? Thank you for all your hard work to make the impossible possible!

Contact him via private message, I was able to buy a pcb from him. I purchased the rest of the parts myself. Hope that helps.

@offensive_Jerk Thanks for the scan! I think with that I can make an even better touch-up. Dusted off my old Photoshop skills with the first try! DM me your address and I'll send you some :)

Anyone have an idea how many intel inboard 386/pc and 386/at accelerator cards intel sold? I tried to look at old sales reports from 1989 but they do not specify the inboard sales.
 
Are there any ongoing efforts to modify the GALs and PALs to remove the 4MB limit?

Me me me… but if I get the image might be cheaper for me to print some than to mail to the UK unless envelope rates are much cheaper :)
 
I took a picture of my reproduction sticker compared to my original sticker. Original sticker is significantly brighter, but that could be because of sun damage. It was originally attached to the front of the manual, which is quickly falling apart at the spine.20231109_193425.jpg.

I feel mine is close to the original after seeing this :)

Both look great and as it’s a repro I would expect it to brighten over time. It’s possible though to closer colour match I’m sure. They both do look good.

Oh yeah, I never meant to imply that the new stickers don't look phenomenal! The new stickers look great and I just wanted to provide a point of comparison between the new one and the original. Hard to do any concrete comparisons given the age and unknown history of the original.

I’m the guy who posted the Reddit image! I think the magenta and aqua hues are normal based on the fact that I found mine tucked in a cluttered basement far away from the sun for what had presumably been… many years and it looks just like yours

Maybe there were different variations of the sticker, or different printers on different lines had different calibrations

Either way, pink/blue is very 90s

You’ll have to get yourself a daughter board from Harrison if you haven’t already. Was a good share on Reddit - always great to find one of these in the wild and that sticker has spawned some nice reproductions so thanks :)

Now.. should we make repro boxes for the ParrotyError?
