"Forever young, I wanna be forever young, do you really wanna live forever?, forever, forever young" - something like that. Who sings that song?!? :-(

Sorry if I've brought it up earlier! :-( Don't believe I have though.

Crap, I don't know who sings it, but I almost bought it on vinyl! Me & my brother had a stack of vinyl & forgot to put that single in the stack... :(

If only I had that single...

Okay, I've located the name of a band, somebody told me the song was in Napoleon dynamite - which checks out. The group are called Alphaville according to this site: http://www.stlyrics.com/lyrics/napoleondynamite/foreveryoung.htm

In addition I've got a Youtube video (with some skateboard riders) which are using the Song as well:

My question now is can I download that video file from YouTube onto my computer (if so can quickly download it from school onto my stick) so I can play it at home (and perhaps Burn a CD! ;-)

Alphaville had a couple of other hits, best known is perhaps "Big in Japan", from the same album as Forever Young. I'm almost old enough to remember them from the original days.

Well, if "Big in Japan" is anything like "Forever Young" then I'm sold! :-D

Do you know how old this group are Carlsson? You make them sound like a 60s/70s outfit - and yet I've heard nothing of them until last year when I started hear them playing bits and pieces of "Forever Young" on the TV. That's the only song I hear from that group!

Here is the song if your still looking for the mp3.

No, more like 1983-84. It is a German group, and if you search the Internet you will find all the information you'll ever want.

Ah okay - I should have known, so basically this song has been discovered in the last couple of years in the film Napoleon dynamite and has become a popular song. Sure, Wikipedia would have somthing to say about it too! :-D

The SID Tune Information List (STIL) is distributed with the High Voltage SID Collection (HVSC). STIL documents each C64 music, whether one song is a cover of something else, has comments from composers and much more.

According to STIL, Forever Young was covered by four C64 musicians, while Big in Japan was featured in seven productions. Neither was used in a commercial game.
