WTB: Disk Explorer from Quaid Software

It isn't available on vetusware.com ?

Do a search. If you can't find it, I have it on one of my bluray archive disks and will find it.

Hi Keith
Thanks for the reply

I've been looking for that software since last year, vetusware does'n have it
(and I believe It is impossible to download anything from them now)

I have a 1986 and a 1987 version, but no user manual

I will like to do some disk format analysis and I haven't figure out
the meaning of all information that the show.

Do you have the user manual ???

by the way ( I read in another post)
That you have Copy II pc boards for sale

how much are you asking for one of them ??

Regards

Thanks !!
These are good news,
I don't know what is happening with vetusware
I tried to download that file today, but and I got this error message

"Bad News

Some unexpected error occured - your file cannot be prepared for downloading.
The website administration has already been notified about the problem."

I will try again later

About the user manual is true, It is a shame, is murphy law I believe,
when you throw something away, is almost sure that you will need it few weeks later .....

I've been reading the indispensable PC hardware book, but still
not complete sure to understand some information.
I will get a copy of the Peters Norton book

Thanks again you've been very helpful
Leonardo

Thanks chuck(G) for your reply
I even uploaded some files a few days ago

sorry for all that trafic

hi tingo thanks for your confirmation

I found a group of people who are trying to do something like vetustware

Check:

http://www.4shared.com/dir/GIpYaTep/Abandonware.html

Password: abandonware

I see the page is in Spanish

contrasea = password

Cargar a 4shared = upload to 4shared

It's probably doomed--there is legally no such concept as "abandonware" and if the collection is hosted in a country that enforces agreements under WIPO, it won't last--someone will demand action against them. Vetusware is hosted out of the Ukraine, which makes it easier for them.

This VetusWare problem has been going on for about a year now. No downloads, no nothing. (sigh) It's still being maintainted by somebody because the site has been cleaned up and navigation is a little easier, but they haven't worked on the downloading yet. Someone has set up a 4Shared account just in case VetusWare dies, but I don't think it ever will. It's not abandonware, just obsolete software that companies no longer care about.

Does anyone watch Mickey Mouse anymore? But I'll wager that if you came out with your own site full of old Mickey cartoons, that the suits at Disney would have your hide in nothing flat. And Mickey dates to about 1924.

There are still systems in production running CP/M. Who are you to declare something obsolete and not cared about any longer.

Tell you what--why not put up a site with all of the Win2K distros on it? MS no longer supports or sells it--I'll bet that they wouldn't care...

Take for example Microsoft Antivirus. Only people like us still think of it and neither Microsoft and Central Point Software probably remember it anymore.

I have an original Quaid Analyzer manual and disks, if anyone is still interested.
