What's the best way to buy old N64 game cartridges for cheap? My local thrift stores don't seem to have any and web resellers seem to charge quite a bit.

Yard Sales, Craigslist, etc,etc,etc....

My cousin has supplemented his income by selling on ebay for the last 5 years, and his items come exclusively from yard sales listed in print classifieds and Craigslist. He's been known to repeatedly pick up Nintendo DS systems for $5 apiece with a handful of games, and Nin64 systems for $10-15 with a dozen or more games. YMMV, but if you spend some time looking around, you'll likely find them.

Of course, alternately, you can purchase the new ED-64 Flash Card from Krizz for $100USD, load up your roms, and have at it.

Yeah, thrift stores, craigslist are probably the cheapest. Goodwill and other used game stores are acquiring many however are starting to think they're worth more than $5/game which is annoying. You could try gaming forums or auction sites (game-gavel.com) or even ebay although you tend to find lots in one sale or collectors which bump the asking price up. Are there games you're specifically after or just filler content?

I guess I'll start checking yard sales and keep scouring thrift stores. Last weekend I picked up a boxed N64 system in like-new condition for $25 at a yard sale, but it didn't come with any games and I don't want to spend more than I paid for the system just to buy Goldeneye and Super Mario 64. $5 per game is about the most I'm willing to pay unless it's rare or in mint condition. I've made a wish list of about 20 games, including Conker's Bad Fur Day, Doom 64, and a bunch of other classics.

I have plenty. Cartridges, no box.

Also there's a store called "Game Zombie" on Mill Street in Bristol PA. Their facebook page is Game Zombie. I go there for my retro gaming fixes and they can fix modern consoles. :D
