I don't have direct experience with vBulletin, but I do have a lot of SQL experience in general, and reverse engineering DBs was kind of a part and parcel thing we did back in the day trying to get disparate machines to talk to each other, so in that light I may be able to help.

I had the issues of editing a post and having it marked as spam a couple times myself.I would make a post, then after it was live I noticed a spelling error, I corrected some grammar within a few seconds of the first post then received the message flagging for spam.
