I very much understand your frustration. I saw a shell of a VDP-80 on the list that I would have gladly purchased but couldn't establish contact. These things are out there. What kills me is people who collect things like keyboards and don't use them. They put them on a shelf I guess. Damn.

It was a pretty sophisticated program. Viewing objects accurately in 3d space from an arbitrary position and orientation and then clipping it to a screen is nontrivial. All the objects including runways for the Austin airport and a F16 viewed in flight I stored in arrays of points which designated the connected lines that defined their appearance.
