Info on burning 82S126-131 (AM27S11/27S13, etc.) PROMS

Thanks for all the information. This is more a hobbyist project and to be used at the MARCHian repair weekends in InfoAge @ Wall Twp, NJ. I'll definitely get some adapters made up so I have something to test code with. I have Burners for the single voltage 2716/2516-27512 EPROMs (25/21/12.5) and...

Info on burning 82S126-131 (AM27S11/27S13, etc.) PROMS

I'm assuming this is closest to the correct place to discuss Vintage hardware so ... I'd like to build a PROM burner for the 256x4 and 512x4 PROMs. Mainly for my Apple I reproduction. I have a 6502 and a 6800 version. I was ignorant of the cost of all the chips but I can work around that (lesson...

Need help to recover a more modern Mac IDE drive with Linux

I have a Makerspace in Wall NJ (Computer Deconstruction Lab), near the VCF/MARCH museum at InfoAge. Someone has asked us to recover their photos from a disk that seems to have lost it partitions. I was able to image the entire disk with Linux and dd. But I can get near the partitons (Linux can...

Crowd fund me ? Gimix Ghost

I also grabbed: https://github.com/robin7g/swtpc-sound-card and I thought I found some python code to convert sound files to asm. Saw a Youtube video that had it play the sound file for the War Games "... play a game" I'll need to see where that is. Thought I added it to my notes. Oh it's the...

YW, good luck and let us know how it goes. :) It's going to be a while before I finish up my 68008 boards (but I will finish them).

    1985 BCC-52

I recall reading a few but Midnight Engineering was more business than electronics/software. Kind of like some of Don Lancaster's stuff. Odd I've probably read more of Don Lancaster's stuff than any other author. :)

The Z180 Lunch Box was from his Byte days. The HCS II was from his CCInk days. Loved reading both. :)

Yes, he had a pellet fed stove and he controlled the BTUs produced by controlling the pellet feed. That was in the later magazine Circuit Cellar Ink. Met him once at Trenton Computer Festival. He was interesting but his Z180 Lunch Box more so. :)

Dang not sure how I missed this. I have a bunch of Steve's stuff (he gave it to me with the HCSII stuff). I have a bunch of stuff to repair. Most of it is his Z180 stuff. Micromint sold it (might still sell some of it).

Yes this is very cool! :) I'll start without the disk drives. I'm hoping that I can boot to the ROM monitor (GMXBUG) and then dump the ROMS. I don't think there are many ROMS that work with the video card out there. I'll then play around with the boards and see what works. I have a Peripheral...

    Hazelwood Uniquad

BTW, I used the 68008 and 68000 Hazelwood Uniquad. Nice boxes with OS9/OSK. We used them for development. Would love to get one but will settle for the 68K boxes I do have. :)

I'm working on a 68008 board for my SWTPC clone (Corsham SS50/SS30 boards). I call it the MP-A8 (SS50 bus) and MP-A8A (68Retro SS50ish bus, has 1M on board SRAM, ROM and MC68681). While the MC6850 and MC6821 are 6800 chips, the MC68681 (2681) are 68K chips. They support the DTACK and interrupt...

I would love to get a schematic of the video card but I was seriously outbid by 2 bidders on Ebay. Docs went for over $100.
