  • You can certainly say "fz80 does not contain a z80 chip". But your posts imply the machine does not work correctly, which is flatly incorrect.

If you understand "they work differently" as "one works incorrectly", then I am sorry. That is not what I imply.
You are factually incorrect that it is not a Z80 machine. You can correctly
say, "fZ80 does not contain a genuine Zilog chip". fZ80 runs 8080/Z80 code,
which in 2026 is a software API.

I don't want to argue or be rude in public. I'm asking you to stick to facts,
and not imply that it does not work correctly.

First Svenka, I apologize for my post. My weak excuse is that it was late and at the end of a very long day, and I exercized poor judgement, and should have waited until today.

I actually like you; and you contribute here a lot, are an asset to the community, and believe it or not, I understand some nuance in your objection to emulation. I enjoy reading your posts.

In your two replies to me above? I 100% agree. Those are fair assessments and no disagreement. The last I will say, and this sounds defensive because I suppose it is, my only objection was the implication in your post in that CP/M "printing" thread, implied that the problem was that fz80 is emulated. Regardless I should not have posted to you as I did.

It's not a problem, it's an opportunity. Adding "parallel PostScript printer" is definitely within reach.
The fZ80 also does USB keyboards already, but I do not know whether it can be extended to USB hubs and printers easily.

    Apology accepted. :)
