New England Lots of retro PC/Mac stuff for sale

I'm sorry I forgot to check back here, DM responded. Why was the thread moved though? Did I do something wrong? I know a bunch of items are not "retro" (definition pending :P) but lots are.

1541 for the C64? Any differences, versions, other things I should look for?

You can still enjoy the best floppy drive there is for the Commodore ;)

You can also use a 1571, which is my favorite C= floppy disk drive. My unit has been rock solid since 1990 when I bought it.

Need to get a 1084s monitor repaired

I know it's not in your near vicinity but not too far up north there's Amiga Of Rochester who can do repairs,. If you ever want a road trip or feel like you can safely ship it back and forth, they'd be able to help you!

New England Lots of retro PC/Mac stuff for sale

I had another thread but I'm not allowed to edit it so I make a new one. I'm trying to scale down all this crap and fast, please consider getting a bunch of stuff for a good deal. All these items are located in the New York City area of the US. I would prefer local people picking up. I'm happy...

    General MIDI with Toshiba Libretto

Are you familiar with any other DAWs at all? You could try Fruityloops 1.76 or even Ableton Live 4, for a more "modern" workflow. But your computer is quite slow, not sure how well those will run. I remember struggling on FL with a Pentium 133.

New England [NYC area] Bunch of systems for sale

Some of these are not so retro, depending on who you ask, hope it's OK to put them in here, to me they're part of my retro hobby. Prices do not include shipping, I preffer local pickups. Apple - $60 > Apple iMac G4 700Mhz (Flat Panel) M8672LL/A - 768MB RAM, 40GB HD, Mac OS 9.2.2 and Mac OS X...

Basic Sound card for DOS 6.22/Win3.11/WIN9x

The card doesn't do FM, it does FM emulation, and yeah I heard all the hype but I had one and I hated it even though, as I said, I am pretty easygoing. The "native" mode, is what sounds absolutely fantastic.

Basic Sound card for DOS 6.22/Win3.11/WIN9x

I guess the reason I don't like the ESS1868 is that as far as "OPL3 emulation" goes, it's terrible, I don't like it one bit. BUT the general MIDI sounds it has if you use it as an MPU-401 device are really really good. So if you want that kinda sound, it's a great choice. It depends on what you...

    C64OS v1.0 released!

Better and better at doing exactly what useful thing? I'm sorry but I cannot find the real use for this, as cool as it looks, from a user standpoint, it feels irrelevant to me.
