What are good examples of Windows Vista/7 era laptops that can run XP?

I think there are a lot of 14" laptops out there of Vista era which have core 2 duo processors and semi decent integrated cpus? Would assume that these can cope with XP gaming....

    90s Olivetti laptop

Looking at pic 2, it suggests that you have 4 hard drives, which cannot be the case as you have a laptop. On pic 6/7 it shows, however, 0 MB on IDE adaptor 0, which suggests the hard drive is toast... this being the case, I would expect that after you press F1 the screen goes black for a few...

Weird, I use Norton 360 as well and have had zero issues with vcfed! As far as I know I have no special configuration in Norton....

Problems with installing a 387 FPU

Haha Zare, you are right! I think the skew is because of the pic angle. As I remember this construction is a real tight fit and can be a real pig to seat properly .. I think patience is the best virtue here!

Problems with installing a 387 FPU

I think the trick is to apply an even pressure in the middle of the chip .. if you press one corner then you force the opposite corner out as you figured out already

Getting back into older PC's with my first 486 Build in almost 30 years

Personally I would go with the Soundblaster but that's just based on the fact they were the thing back then!

    Weird Wifi Issue

Thanks Orange ... I pretty much reached the same conclusion. My rig is not very convenient for an RJ-45 network cable, hence the Wi-Fi card.

    Weird Wifi Issue

My main rig is an HP Elite 8300 with an i7-3770 processor. The motherboard has three PCI Express slots ... a PCI Express x1, a PCI Express x16 and a PCI Express x 16 downshifted to a x4. I always had my GTX 1050Ti videocard plugged into the downshifted PCI Express slot, and a tp-link Wi-Fi card...

How much of the yellowing does that acually get rid of Verault? The case did not look too bad to start off with?

    Joystick

Can you disassemble it by unscrewing the bottom of it? I assume that dust accumulation over the years is the culprit....

    Disk boot failure

Hi Patrick, now that you have your PC up and running again, I think it is best if you make a new post specifically about your OS/2 Warp issues as this will get the attention of members what are familiar with it and who can help you further!

    Disk boot failure

It's been a pleasure Patrick, I think that this is the whole idea of the forum ... helping others! I'm sure that Dave feels the same! On your VGA card ... the ET4000AX was made by Tseng, and should be able to support a decent resolution. It is worth checking what you currently have (manuals as...
