I managed to get my hands on defect 1551 drive. Unfortunately I had a bit of language barrier
with German and thus I did not notice it was also said to be incomplete. What a bummer, it's missing
the key component, pcb and 'paddle' connector to the computer.
Has anyone tried to convert 1541 pcb (say short board for example) into a 1551 pcb ?
I realize, that such a project would require some major changes in the pcb itself.
But I do not see many/any 1551 pcb's in ebay either.
I don't want to convert this into a 1541 simply by putting unmodified 1541 pcb into it.
I have a bunch of 1541 drives already.
Well, at least I have a nice table decoration now, if nothing else.
