I think the vast majority of 4Mx4 chips are 2K refresh (aka 11 by 11 addressing).

Can you please explain this? I.E. the arrangement of the chips? I've seen references to it in other places as well but I am not fully sure I get it. For example a RAID card I have requires: " single rank registered SDRAM module using x8 or x16 chip organization". TIA!
