I'm trying to Max out the ram on my Sharp PC7200

I understand I need: 44256 80ns 256k x 4-Bit DRAM

However I'm guessing the speed isn't a huge factor. Need about 8 of them to fully populate the board.

Cheers
James

It shouldn't be too hard to find--there was plenty made. You can use the following types:

  • MB81C4256 (Fujitsu)
  • GM71C4256 (Goldstar)
  • HM514256 (Hitachi)
  • HY534256 (Hyundai)
  • MT4C4256 (Micron)
  • M5M44256 (Mitsubishi)
  • MCM514256 (Motorola)
  • uPD424256 (NEC)
  • MSM514256 (Oki)
  • KM44C256 (Samsung)
  • TMS44C256 (TI)
  • TC514256 (Toshiba)

Hope this helps--and probably good for a Wiki entry?

Futurlec seems to be selling them for $1.90 each.

You could send it for under $10 via First Class Int. Mail. Depending on the weight you might be able to send it for $6 - $7.

That would make it a lot more affordable for my to get :)

Certainly would like to get my hands on some, so i can use my 7200.

Chuck - Yes from China it probably would work out cheaper, which is kind of crazy :S
