This week I came across the CocoMEM Jr. – RETRO Innovations.
The CocoMEM Jr will allow a CoCo 1 or 2, which have been limited to 64K due to the lack of the GIME MMU found in the CoCo 3, to be upgraded to as much as 2MB. However, Jim at RETRO Innovations has emulated and enhanced the GIME in hardware, which breaks the 64K limit.
The problem is that OS/9 needs to be patched and Jim has not been able to find someone who has the time to assist.
CoCo 3s are in short supply with ever increasing prices on eBay, it would be great if earlier models could also be fitted with up to 2MB for OS/9?
