Hi all, I have a 5170 Type 3 working motherboard and 2MB IBM XMA card but no case. All the ebay 5170 auctions I see are a bit nuts (north of $300) plus I am just looking for the case. If anyone has a case for sale, please let me know. I am in the Chicago area.

What kind of condition are you looking for, and do you want an original IBM case? I have two 5170 cases though they do not "match" a type 3 board, and the one I would be willing to part with is pretty dinged up. If you don't care that it's not "technically" an IBM case, I've got plenty of AT compatible desktop style cases I'd be happy to get rid of.
 
Hi, thanks for the reply. I think I have a lead on an IBM 5170 case but I do have a number of 286 motherboards plus 2 Pentiums without cases. AT cases seem hard to come by. If you could provide pictures, that would be great. Plus, are you in the Chicagoland area?
