Not exactly vintage, but definitely DEC and definitely of interest (to me :D) - I've recently got the mainboard in the attached photos; it reports "DECpc MTE" at boot time, and it seems it's the same mainboard used in the Prioris MTE server. I found relevant docs, BIOSes, drivers and utilities here:

http://www.compaq.com/legacysupport/digital/epid28.html
However, there are a few things that are not clear to me - maybe someone who had (or maybe still has) this mainboard can shed some light on them:
1. What is the 6-pin AUX power connector used for? It seems to work just fine with "usual" AT power alone...
2. Where are the front panel connectors (reset, power LED, HDD LED)? I'm guessing it's the 8-pin white connector next to the CPU socket, but I couldn't find any pin-out for it...
3. There is a VGA connector on-board, but it doesn't seem to work - is it related to the "unusual" top slot (the "local bus video slot")? What type of card populates that slot?
4. On the back of the board there are some wired traces - is this the way the board was designed / manufactured, or should I suspect it was repaired? It doesn't seem to have been damaged...
Thanks a million.
