It'll be interesting to see how many still are around 25 years from now. Since they're quite small, most people may put them in storage without losing much space.
The Wii sells well, but I don't think it will have the same following the Playstations, Segas, Ataris, etc have with collectors down the road because of the "games".
Besides none of those controllers will probably work making it a doorstop in 20 years.

How much of what we collect today was the 'Best-Selling of All Time' in their day?

No idea, but my original 2600 joysticks and paddles still work. There was not much to those and the construction of the circuit board was pretty good.How many Atari 5200 controllers still work?
